Machine Learning for Biomedical Applications

The goal of this course is to introduce the student to the applications of machine learning tools to biomedical problems. The course will cover an overview of a wide range of machine learning tools (regression, classification, decision trees, random forests, clustering, artificial neural networks, and convolutional neural networks), biomedical data sets (image data, omics data and patient records) and disease applications (cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, neurological diseases, and infectious diseases).
